A ‘REAL’ SUPER COMBO

Canadian Sub-Arctic Hunting sits in a very unique situation. Situated on the edge of the transitional Boreal forest, in a range of 50 miles you go from forest to tundra. This enables us to offer a hunting combo few can beat. Most hunting combos offer a primary species with the ‘added attraction’ of adding additional species. Most times, the additional species offered are not in what we would call ‘prime habitat’ and are merely ‘sugar’ to make the initial package more interesting. That’s not the case with CSAH. Our woodlands offer the very finest for big moose and bear, with moose up to 66” and bear so large Ralph and Vicki Cianciarulo coined the term ‘Manitoba Monsters.’ 60 miles North of our main lodge, almost on a dime, the tundra begins. Here some of the finest hunting for Central Barrenground caribou exists and we took one of the top B&C animals just a few years ago. The herd is Central Canada’s healthiest, with a 2009 census confirming a population averaging 400,000 animals.

We are now pleased to offer this very special combo hunt. Running Sept. 15-27, 2010, this super hunt offers Northern Manitoba’s finest. It includes Central Barrenground caribou, huge Canadian moose, legendary bear, outstanding fishing, and the ability to hunt ptarmigan and wolf. This is the best of the best in each species’ prime habitat. The price is $ 12995 from Thompson, Manitoba, $ 13595 from Winnipeg (licenses and taxes extra).

It’s Northern Manitoba at its finest! Give us a call, spaces are very limited.

FEATURING CHARTERS FROM WINNIPEG

No one makes it easier to access the first-class hunting of the Canadian Sub-Arctic.
We are located 700 miles North of the US/Canadian border, one of the most remote fly-in areas in North America. For CSAH guests, we make travel quick and convenient.

We now offer easy travel from Winnipeg to our main lodge and return. Spring hunters will travel on Kivaliiq Air’s Beech 1900. Fall hunters will travel on Calm Air’s ATR 42. Flight time usually averages 2 hrs. and 45 min. Flights depart Winnipeg at 6 AM the first day of the hunt. Moose hunters will return to Winnipeg via regular commercial sched due to varying schedules.

Moose hunters also have the option to drive to Thompson, Manitoba. Thompson is located only 6 ˝ hours North of Winnipeg via paved highway.

Overnights are required on the Northbound portion of travel and sometimes the Southbound. We recommend the Fourpoints Sheraton in Winnipeg (204-775-5222).

For assistance on air and hotel, we recommend our official travel agent, TravelEx (1-800-882-0499) .

Private aircraft are welcome. Our VFR strip measures 5400’ by 125’. It has a clay, sand, and gravel top.
